My Walden

My favorite thing to do in New York is get lost in the streets with a camera. Manhatten is no Yosemite, but it sure can be purdy. This photo set was taken on Friday, May 26. We had a half day at work and so I took off to explore East Village and Lower East Side. I love these neighborhoods.

We don't need no trees. We got paint.

I don't know what it is about cemeteries, but I love them. They left the gate open to this one.

A well-worn wall. More interesting than most television programming.

A peaceful wall.

The dog playground at Tompkins Square. One day I will be allowed inside.

The Community Garden at 6th and B. My most favoritist part of Manhattan.

Trash more beautiful than 2006's latest summer fashions.

"The dog playground at Tompkins Square. One day I will be allowed inside." Is this because you're planning on being reincarnated as a dog? What kind?

Actually no. It's because one day I will have a dog, and I will be allowed to go inside to play with it. I've never had a dog before.
