I think it's awesome that he doesn't believe in Santa Claus. I don't understand why we perpetuate this lie in the name of tradition and commercialism. It's a lie. Especially if you eat the durn cookies.
The thing is, we tend to sentimentalize our own traditions. Then we deify them and follow them religiously, even if they don't make sense.
There are children with no rice to eat, but we take our kids to sit on santy's lap and tell him what they think they're entitled too.
And anyone who uses santy as a power game to control their kids is a bad parent. Grr!!!

Yes.. my nephew told his little sister that Santa Claus was dead and that people have to pretend to be Santa now. How sad is that?
