Say Hi to Wi-Fi

As I look around me I see fathers playing soccer with their daughters, couples romantically tangled in each other's embrace, and frisbees whizzing by in every direction. It's an ordinary evening in Central Park's Sheeps Meadow. Only something is different.

Today marks the arrival of internet access in select spots of the park. That's right. I am in Central Park with my laptop blogging on the grass. It's quite possible that what you are reading right now is the very first blog post ever made from this location. Surprisingly I've seen no other laptops around.

I'm sure that in time this whole internet in the park thing will be big. But for now I'm proud to be looking at the only screen in sight.

welll hmmm not sure how i feel about this internet in the park thing, i mean sure it's cool, and maybe convenient, but where is our society going? Where we can't even bring ourselves to escape for a moment in the park to get away from work and the constant stream of information we're bombarded with all day. just an idea. love you! Katie!
