On Sunday Jodi, Paula, and I were walking down Lenox Ave right by Sylvia's Restaurant. An old man greeted us in passing and asked if we were coming from church. Surrounding him were three men with a camera.
It turns out the man was none other than Albert Maysles, a member of the famous documentary filmmaking/brother team who made such landmark films as Gimme Shelter and Grey Gardens. Apparently after a lifetime of making documentaries about others, he's finally doing one about himself. And now we might be in it.
